The four-day event, which finished Sunday, raised nearly $9.8 million in all for local agencies providing health care, youth services and affordable housing.

Most of the money was raised in the live auction Saturday night that included a single bid of $1.1 million.

The 27-year-old Napa event, formally known as Auction Napa Valley, has been overtaken in terms of money raised by the Naples Winter Wine Festival in Florida, which raised $18.3 million in four days.
