Philadelphia Inquirer Rago Arts and Auction Center’s Feb. 10 sale of 19th- and 20th-century American and European art will offer some big names, some smaller-than-usual prices, and more than a few happy rarities.

The sale is divided into two sessions. The first - beginning at noon at the gallery, 333 N. Main St., Lambertville, and devoted to the art of Pennsylvania and environs - is where most of the big names are.

The 71 lots include works by such familiar local painters as Walter Emerson Baum, Harry Leith-Ross, Fern I. Coppedge, and William Trost Richards, as well as William Glackens and Charles Rosen. And given the six-figure prices that works by these artists have been commanding, this session also is where some relative bargains are possible.
