Volunteers sought for Salem Art Fair - July 21-23

Published July 10th, 2006

Salem Art Association is looking for volunteers to put on this year’s Salem Art Fair & Festival on July 21-23.

Each year, the association needs about 1,000 volunteers to organize and put on the fair. Volunteers can choose between many activities, such as face painting and button making in the Cohen Kids’ Court, booth sitting for artists and staffing the Sno-Kone booth.

Anyone interested in being a part of the event is invited to join the annual Pre-Event Volunteer Party from 5 to 6:30 p.m. Wednesday at the Bush Barn Art Center Annex, located in Bush’s Pasture Park at 600 Mission St. SE, Salem.

Participants can sign up for volunteer shifts, purchase a special fair volunteer T-shirt at the discounted price of $5, meet other volunteers and enjoy refreshments.

For more information about volunteering, call (503) 581-2228 or download a volunteer application form at www.salemart.org
